The final phase of construction is beginning on the James A. Gifford Causeway.
County officials say Phase 2 of the project, which includes vital repairs to the bridge portion, starts this week.
Despite the ongoing construction, the bridge and the road will remain open throughout the duration.
Construction is expected to be completed by November.
