Peterborough Public Health is urging residents to ensure their immunizations are current following a surge in whooping cough cases.
Medical officer of health Dr. Thomas Piggott reports some cases are linked to local schools.
Whooping cough is a bacterial infection transmitted through droplets from coughs or sneezes.
Residents are advised to check their immunization status with healthcare providers or online and get vaccinated if needed.
