Peterborough’s Business Advisory Centre has a new lease on life.
Now operated by Peterborough and the Kawarthas Economic Development, the provincially-funded centre’s future was unclear with the dissolution of that agency at the end of this year.
On Monday, local MPP Dave Smith confirmed the centre will relocate to fall under the umbrella of federally-funded Community Futures Peterborough.
Community Futures executive director Devon Girard is thrilled her organization will be home to the centre that helps small business owners and aspiring entrepreneurs.
Girard adds it makes sense to have the centre and Community Futures operate under one roof.
MPP Smith credits Community Futures’ staff and board for making the transition happen.
