A lot of work goes on behind the scenes to make sure the Petes can pursue the best talent available – even those across the pond.
Head Coach Rob Wilson was recently a guest on ‘PTBO Today Live’ and says being able to scout in places far away is a true team effort.
In the recent CHL Import Draft, Peterborough selected Czech forward Adam Novotný with the eighth overall selection. Novotny has already signed a pro contract but Wilson is hopeful they’ll be able to bring him onboard.
Wilson says he was excited they had to the chance to pick him.
In terms of what the Petes are looking for as a player, Wilson says Novotný would be a perfect fit.
While noting the organization has some work to do to bring Novotny over, Wilson believes the Petes are an excellent option for him to continue his development.
