If longevity is a benchmark of consistent success, then Dynacast Peterborough remains in a league of its own in the production of high-quality die-cast components.
With roots that go back to 1912 when German immigrant Otto Gries opened a small machine shop in New York, the now global manufacturer of precision engineered metal components arrived in Peterborough in 2008 with the acquisition of FisherCast Global Corporation.
Utilizing advanced die-cast technologies, the plant at 710 Neal Drive is one 21 worldwide serving the ever-changing needs of the automotive, consumer electronics, telecommunication and health care sectors.
Dynacast customer service manager Jessica Glanville says the manufacture of precision die-castings is the local plant’s primary function, with about 80 percent of its products exported to the United States.
Several Dynacast employees have 30-plus years of experience, including one that is closing in on 50 years, says human resources manager Jennifer McKeiver.
