Springdale Farms in Little Britain has been a family affair for decades, with Tim Webster now the sixth generation of his family to oversee the mid-sized operation.
Growing and harvesting corn and soybeans as well as some food grade beans, Webster’s typical day isn’t unlike that of most crop farmers – an early start follow by hours of working the land combined with overseeing the business side of the operation. All this while raising a family of four with his wife ensures little rest for the weary.
But Webster wouldn’t have it any other way, noting farming has “always kind of” been his thing, still providing a unique lifestyle and benefits that many don’t get too experience.
