Peterborough Police are investigating after two pedestrians were hit by a vehicle at the intersection of Queen Street and Concession Street in Lakefield.
The incident occurred around 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
An 81-year-old woman and an 86-year-old man were transported to Peterborough Regional Health Centre, with the woman later flown to a Toronto hospital for further treatment. The Traffic Unit conducted a reconstruction investigation, and the road was closed for about four hours.
