While it hasn’t been an ideal start to the season for the Petes, the play of a young defenceman has caught the eye of NHL Central Scouting.
Carson Cameron has received a C Rating in the latest ranking of the ‘Preliminary Players to Watch List’ for the 2025 NHL Draft.
Cameron notes it is nice, but he’s staying focused on helping Peterborough try and get out of some early struggles.

Audio PlayerCameron has appeared in 68 OHL games with the Petes, scoring five goals and adding 22 assists for 27 points. Last season, he helped Canada White win Gold at the 2023 World U17 Hockey Challenge in Charlottetown, PEI.
Caden Taylor also received a C Rating, and Aiden Young a W rating.
