CUPE Local 3908 Unit 2 and Trent University have successfully reached a tentative settlement on a new Collective Agreement that, if ratified, will take effect as of September 1st.
The negotiating teams from both parties have agreed to recommend the tentative settlement to their respective groups. CUPE plans to hold a meeting for its members to ratify the agreement, while Trent University’s Board of Governors must also approve the settlement for it to take effect. Details about the tentative agreement will be released through joint communiqués following the ratification process.
CUPE Local 3908 Unit 2 represents over 550 part-time academic workers who are registered undergraduate and graduate students at Trent University.
