A 53-year-old Peterborough man has been charged after a theft at a grocery store near Borden Avenue and The Kingsway on Wednesday.
Police were called around 6:10 pm about a theft in progress. Officers arrived to find a man matching the suspect’s description and noticed items falling from his clothing. Over $300 worth of products were recovered and returned to the store.
The man was charged with theft under $5,000, released on an undertaking, and is set to appear in court on January 7th.
