Trent Ph.D. student Luka Stojanovic has been awarded the Pierre Elliott Trudeau Scholarship – just the second Trent student to receive the national graduate research honour.
A scholar in Trent’s Canadian Studies program and a graduate associate with Trent’s Centre for Aging and Society, Stojanovic is one of just 15 recipients of the scholarship that were chosen from a pool of more than 500 applicants.
The Toronto native, whose research has contributed to a better understanding of, and support for, those living with chronic pain, is also a volunteer with a number of local organizations, including Peterborough Action for Tiny Homes.
