A GoFundMe campaign has been launched for a Fraserville couple who lost their home and all their belongings to a devastating fire.
Early on December 9th, fire ripped through the Whitfield Road home of Ashlea Purdy and Christian Owen. The pair, along with their two dogs, escaped the blaze, although Owen suffered minor burns and smoke inhalation. According to fire officials, the blaze started in the home’s garage but spread from there, resulting in a total loss.
The GoFundMe appeal, started by Purdy’s brother Ryan, has a goal of $25,000, of which just more than $6,200 had been raised as of Monday (December 23rd). To donate, visit https://www.gofundme.com/f/please-help-ashlea-and-christian?qid=1f5c8526357dc6efbe01e3aa891a87d9.
