A single-vehicle collision on Pigeon Lake Road in Emily Township has led to the arrest of a Lindsay man on numerous charges.
On December 28th, at approximately 8:06 p.m., officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP responded to a report of a vehicle losing control. Kawartha Lakes Paramedics also attended the scene and treated the driver, who sustained minor injuries.
Through their investigation, police arrested a 35-year-old Lindsay man. He faces the following charges:
- Failure or refusal to comply with demand
- Failure to comply with a prohibition order
- Possession of a prohibited device or ammunition
- Possession of a Schedule I substance – other drugs
- Driving a motor vehicle not equipped with an ignition interlock device
- Operating a vehicle with a G1 licence without a qualified driver
- Careless driving
- Driving with cannabis readily available
As a result of the charges, the accused received a 90-day driver’s licence suspension, and his vehicle was impounded for seven days.
The investigation is ongoing.
