As many get back to their typical morning routines, you’re being warned about some incoming weather.
A Snow Squall Warning has been issued by Environment Canada for Peterborough City, Lakefield, Southern Peterborough County, with the forecast calling for lake effect snow from Georgian Bay to track well inland Thursday. Experts say snowfall amounts are quite uncertain, however, total snowfall amounts near 25 cm are possible.
Travel may be hazardous due to sudden changes in the weather. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
The system is expected to taper off by Friday morning.
