Christmas dinner is done and New Year wishes have been expressed…it’s time to start thinking St. Patrick’s Day.
That’s the word from Tim Burke, who is again organizing Peterborough’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The annual George Street tribute to all things green will roll down George Street for a 25th year on March 16th – a milestone that has Burke shaking his head in amazement.
Burke says planning for the 2025 parade began in August.
With 2025 marking the 50th anniversary of the Peterborough Irish Canadian Club and the 200th anniversary of the Peter Robinson Irish emigration, Burke says the region’s Irish families are ready to party.
