The 8-Hour Ski Relay at Kawartha Nordic Ski Club returns this month with a goal to raise $35,000 for the Wild Rock ComPassion Project.
This fun, family-friendly event will take place on Sunday, January 26th, from 10am to 6pm.
Participants can choose to ski for the full 8-hour duration, a portion of the day, or simply come out to cheer on the skiers. The event is open to individuals and teams, with registration now open online.
The event aims to support six partner organizations involved in the Wild Rock ComPassion Project, with funds raised going towards furthering the project’s community initiatives.
In addition to skiing, volunteers are needed for tasks such as registration, lunch service, and event setup and tear down. Those interested in volunteering can sign up through the event’s website.
To support the cause, donations can be made to Team Wild Rock through CanadaHelps, with tax receipts provided for contributions.
