A 40-year-old Peterborough man has been arrested after police received reports of an indecent act being committed in Jackson Park on Tuesday.
At around 12:45 pm, police responded to a report of the incident, arriving to learn that the suspect had already left the park. Officers located a man matching the description near Hunter Street West and Reid Street and took him into custody.
The man faces charges of indecent act in a public place, failure to comply with a probation order, and failure to comply with a prohibition regarding children. He is currently under probation conditions that prevent him from attending Jackson Park and other locations frequented by children.
