The Liberal Party will choose its next leader and Canada’s next prime minister on March 9th.
After a series of meetings this week following Justin Trudeau’s decision to step down as prime minister, the Liberal Party’s national council confirmed the date yesterday.
Sources say the party has set the entry fee for potential candidates at $350,000, a significant increase from the $75,000 fee for the previous leadership race. Candidates have until January 23rd to declare their intention to run.
