The Ontario NDP has nominated Jen Deck, a local elementary teacher and union leader, as their candidate for the next provincial election in Peterborough–Kawartha.
“People here deserve a government that builds homes, hires doctors, fixes schools, and makes life easier,” said Deck. She criticized the Ford government for failing to address housing, healthcare, and education issues, pledging to prioritize families and public services.
Deck arrived in Peterborough to study at Trent University in 1992, calling the city home for more than 30 years
Ontario NDP Leader Marit Stiles praised Deck’s advocacy and leadership, saying, “She has a proven record of delivering for workers and families.”
