Community Futures Peterborough and the Business Advisory Centre have officially launched the new Advisory Suite at the Venture North building, marking a milestone in their commitment to fostering local entrepreneurship and economic growth.
The newly renovated space offers a professional setting tailored to the needs of business owners, featuring a state-of-the-art meeting room, a 360-degree camera for virtual workshops, a collaborative workspace, and a dedicated confidential advisory area.
“The new Advisory Suite at the Business Advisory Centre will be more than just a meeting space; it’s a haven for creativity, ingenuity, and problem-solving,” said Rose Terry, Manager of the Business Advisory Centre. “Here, we are dedicated to walking alongside entrepreneurs at every stage of their journey—whether starting, growing, or scaling their businesses.”
CFP expanded in 2024 to meet the rising demand for business support services, hiring additional expert staff and launching multiple new programs. The new suite alleviates space constraints and enhances CFP’s ability to deliver tailored advisory services to local entrepreneurs.
“This expansion will strengthen the small business ecosystem in Peterborough,” said Paul Bennett, owner of Ashburnham Realty.
Devon Girard, Executive Director of CFP, emphasized the suite’s role in empowering entrepreneurs. “It enhances our ability to offer one-on-one guidance and creates a dedicated workshop space allowing for increased collaboration among local business owners.”
The suite is designed to foster connectivity, offering an ideal venue for workshops, meetings, and mentorship sessions. Business Advisor Lindsey Irwin highlighted its importance in supporting entrepreneurs. “This space gives them the chance to speak freely and confidentially, fostering genuine conversations and meaningful support.”
With plans for further growth in 2025, CFP continues to strengthen its support network, driving new opportunities for entrepreneurs and enhancing the region’s economic landscape.
