A busy three game in three night weekend kicked off Thursday night for the Petes with the Steelheads in town.
It would be the first time these two teams would meet this season, and marked the front end of a home and home.
Steelheads went into the game in 7th, looking to make a run to gain home ice advantage in the playoffs, while the Petes were looking to gain some momentum going into the busy weekend after losing to Oshawa last week.
Freq 90.5’s Stew Kernan says it was a quick start for the Petes but watched the momentum change through the final two periods
