
The Peterborough Police Service’s Investigative Services Unit is continuing to investigate a stabbing that occurred early Thursday morning at a local bar.
Just after 1 am, officers responded to reports of an injured patron in the area of George Street North and King Street.
Upon arrival, they discovered that a 29-year-old man had been stabbed. The suspect had fled the scene before police arrived.
The victim was taken to Peterborough Regional Health Centre for treatment of his injuries. Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 705-876-1122 ext. 555 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
