Easter Seals Ontario kicks off 53rd Annual Telethon in Peterborough

One of the most notable local fundraisers is setting its sights on bringing in some major cash to help local families in need.

The 53rd Annual Easter Seals Telethon goes on March 23rd from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., airing live on YourTV and Global Peterborough.

Community Engagement Officer, Jenn Bheemsingh, says the success of this event year-after-year really comes down to volunteers.

The goal this year is $100,000, a figure Bheemsingh says will have a big impact.

For over a century, Easter Seals Ontario has been committed to supporting children and youth with physical disabilities, ensuring they have the tools, resources, and opportunities to lead fulfilling lives. Bheemsingh says the Telethon is a critical part of this mission, bringing the community together to create lasting change and provide support where it is needed most.
