What’s good in Peterborough: Local hockey parent continues quest to find the ‘Best Arena French Fries’

Ontarians just had a provincial election, likely have an upcoming federal election – and now underway, a culinary election of sorts.

Hockey parent Jef Dueck, who’s son plays for the U15 AA Petes, has been going around the province in search of the best French fries at different arenas.

Dueck says he got the idea about four years ago and always looks forward to getting feedback.

So what makes a good French fry? Dueck considers a few factors.

Right now, Dueck says online voting has opened for the three finalists: Quinte Sports & Wellness Centre, Iroquois Park in Whitby and the Cobourg Community Centre.

Voting is open until May 20th, with the winner revealed on May 21st. To vote, click here.

The highest local spot on this year’s list was the North Kawartha Community Centre, which placed fourth.
