Last chance to cheer on the Petes this season

The Peterborough Petes are heading into the final days of their OHL regular season, determined to finish strong despite a year filled with ups and downs.

They’ll close out the season with three games against top Eastern Conference opponents, starting with their final home game against Kingston on Thursday. They’ll travel to Brampton on Friday, then wrap up the season on the road Sunday against their rival Oshawa Generals.

Head coach Rob Wilson, who spent the past five games watching from above while serving a suspension, said he’s eager to be back in his usual role.

Wilson acknowledged the challenge ahead but emphasized the importance of competing hard until the end.

Despite a tough season, he remains optimistic, pointing to a core group of young players who will be returning next year.

As for what he expects from his player over the final stretch, Wilson says every player needs to take each game seriously as they look to make an impression heading into next season.

Tonight also marks Freq 90.5 night at the Peterborough Memorial Centre, with staff on hand for interactive games, prizes and giveaways. If you can’t make it to the game, you can tune in live with Stew Kernan; coverage begins just before 7pm.
