The St. Peter’s Saints went a perfect 6-0 at the 2025 OFSAA Girls AAA Hockey Championship at the Magna Centre in Newmarket, Ontario, this week, outscoring their opponents 22-2 in the process.
The Saints capped off their undefeated tournament with a 3-1 win over Medway High School yesterday to claim the gold.
Their tournament run was nothing short of dominant, beginning with an 8-0 victory over Eastview Secondary School, followed by a 9-0 win against St. Joseph – Scollard Hall CSS. They continued their streak with a 2-0 shutout of Lawrence Park Collegiate Institute, a 3-0 defeat of Georgetown District High School, and then a 4-1 triumph over St. Maximilian Kolbe CHS in the semifinals, before capping it off with the final win over Medway.
The team’s roster included Sophie Fife, Macy Murray, Hannah McInnes, Alexa Strano, Rhaea Flint, Finley Mann, Kylie Strano, Chloe Fife, Sierra Jacobs, Mackenzie Taylor, Addison Gerelus, Audrey Martone, Clara Williams, Brooke Jeffery, Danica Werry, Avery Mann, Jocelyn Jessup, Avery Johnston, Brea Leahy, and Claire Ferguson.
Team staff Cheryl Johnston, Dustin Graham, Talia Flint, and Mike Martone guided St. Peter’s to their flawless performance.
The Saints also gave a special nod to their bus driver, Rod, who ensured they arrived at each game ready to compete.
