
More than 200 area students are aiming to impress the judges at the annual Peterborough Regional Science Fair, with the chance to compete at the Canada Wide Science Fair in New Brunswick up for grabs.
Set for April 8 at Trent University and featuring close to 150 projects, the science fair will also present cash awards totalling $15,000. After 11 a.m. that day, the public invited to browse the exhibits.
Science fair chair and Trent academic skills instructor Sumiko Polacco has, with her committee members, been working hard to organize the event, which has been held for 56 years. She says students; passion and knowledge of their exhibit subjects never fail to make a strong impression.
