A 38-year-old Peterborough woman faces multiple charges following a theft incident early Sunday morning.
At around 12:30 am, police responded to a report of a theft in progress at a business near Chemong Road and Towerhill Road. Officers were informed that the suspect had left the store without paying for the items and had driven away in a pickup truck.
Around an hour later, police located the vehicle in the Park Street and Wolfe Street area. A woman matching the description provided was arrested without incident.
The woman was charged with theft under $5000 and failure to comply with probation. She was already bound by a probation order, which includes the condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.
