FEDERAL ELECTION: Ferreri prioritizing affordability and U.S. tensions in bid for second term in Peterborough Riding

It what many analysts expect to be a close election, keeping the Peterborough Riding blue is surely a big priority for the Conservative Party of Canada.

Carrying the banner for the Tories locally is incumbent Michelle Ferreri, who is seeking a second term on Parliament Hill.

Ferreri, who grew up in Douro and Otonabee, says in her opinion this will be the most historic election of our time.

With work on the campaign trail already started, the former broadcaster and entrepreneur says the number one thing she’s hearing at the door is concern over affordability.

If affordability is the number one issue, not far behind is the ongoing tension with the U.S. Ferreri says Conservative leader Pierre Poilievre is the right person for this moment, and believes his plan to quickly green-light federal permits for the Ring of Fire in Northern Ontario is the right move.

Voters will go to the polls on April 28th.
