The Art Gallery of Peterborough (AGP) is inviting individuals with a passion for art and community involvement to apply for positions on its Board of Directors and Fundraising and Development Committee. These volunteer roles play a crucial part in ensuring that the gallery continues to offer impactful programs that contribute to the cultural fabric of the region.
Since its opening in 1974, the AGP has been a hub for both local and international artists, showcasing diverse works that reflect the vibrancy of the community. The gallery is known for its educational initiatives, catering to all ages, and its growing permanent collection that remains in tune with contemporary art trends.
Situated on the Otonabee River, the gallery honours its location within the heart of Michi Saagiig Anishinaabe territory, offering exhibitions and programs that foster inclusivity and celebrate diversity.
Applications for board and committee positions are due by April 16. Interested candidates can find more information and apply online at agp.on.ca or contact the gallery directly at 705-743-9179.
