
Peterborough police have arrested a 34-year-old man following a citizen’s report of suspicious activity.
At approximately 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to a call near Monaghan Road and Hopkins Avenue regarding a person using a flashlight and allegedly checking vehicle door handles. Upon arrival, police located a man matching the description and took him into custody.
During the arrest, officers recovered a jacket and other items believed to have been stolen, which were later returned to their rightful owner.

The accused was already under two probation orders, both requiring him to “keep the peace and be of good behaviour.”
He is currently being held in custody.
