Canadian rock legend Kim Mitchell is set to return to Peterborough Musicfest this summer for a highly anticipated closing night performance on Saturday, August 16 at 8pm.
Fans can look forward to an electrifying show at Del Crary Park as Mitchell takes the stage for what promises to be an unforgettable evening.
With over 45 years in the Canadian music scene, Mitchell’s legacy is well-established, from his time with Max Webster in the late ‘70s and ‘80s to his successful solo career. Known for hits like “Go For A Soda” and “Patio Lanterns,” Mitchell’s music has stood the test of time, with his unique blend of rock and storytelling resonating with fans across generations.
“I’m all about customer service. People are coming out to hear certain songs and hear me playing them. But they have been morphing and going through some changes. So ‘Go For A Soda’ sounds a little different the way we play it on a given night. And we will start to jam out on some of the songs and be a little freer with the arrangements. I like to give people what they want,” Mitchell said.
This performance will mark Mitchell’s fifth appearance at Peterborough Musicfest, a testament to his deep connection with the community. Previous performances have been nothing short of legendary, including a memorable show in 2017 to celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary.
