It isn’t what anyone wants to hear, but another storm system is going to be hitting the Peterborough region.
Environment Canada has issued both a Rainfall Warning and a Freezing Rain Warning for Wednesday.
Starting with the ice, the forecast is calling for ice accretion of 4 to 8 mm on some surfaces. Officials do say this freezing rain event will not be nearly as significant as the ice storm from this past weekend.
In terms of rain, total amounts of 20 to 40 mm is expected. Locally higher amounts are possible if thunderstorms repeatedly impact the same area.
