Overseeing a hospital is a big job, and Dr. Lynn Mikula was paid well last year to do just that.
The president and CEO of the Peterborough Regional Health Centre was the city’s highest paid public sector employee in 2024, with a salary of $429,999.44.
That’s according to the ‘sunshine list’ of public sector employees who earned more that $100,000 last year, which is released annually as required by the Public Sector Salary Disclosure Act.
The city’s other top earners in 2024 were as follows:
• Former Trent University president Dr. Leo Groarke at $396,678.56
• Fleming College president Maureen Adamson at $357,338.14
• Peterborough Medical Officer of Health Dr. Thomas Piggott at $345,458.69
• Current Trent University president Dr. Cathy Bruce at $320,689.64
• Peterborough CAO Jasbir Raina at $302,440.11
• Trent University vice-president academics Dr. Michael Khan at $272,844.46
• Peterborough police chief Stuart Betts at $260,550.89
• Peterborough finance commissioner Richard Freymond and social services commissioner Sheldon Laidman at $253,668.18 each
