A 45-year-old Peterborough man is facing multiple drug trafficking charges after police arrested him on an outstanding warrant.
At around 4 p.m. last Thursday, members of the Peterborough Police Service’s Community FIRST Unit spotted the man, who was wanted for failing to comply with probation. He tried to flee on foot but was quickly caught and taken into custody.
During a search after his arrest, officers seized nearly 95 grams of suspected drugs, including 48.3 grams of fentanyl, 34.8 grams of cocaine, and 10.9 grams of crystal meth. They also found 86.7 grams of an unknown substance, along with a cell phone, scale, small bags, tin foil, and Canadian cash.
In addition to the original warrant, the man is now charged with three counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking involving fentanyl, methamphetamine, and cocaine.
