A 23-year-old driver is facing a stunt driving charge after being clocked at more than double the speed limit in Peterborough late Friday night.
Police say the vehicle was travelling 107 km/h in a 50 zone near Clonsilla and Webber Avenue just before midnight on Friday. An officer on patrol stopped the vehicle and laid charges for stunt driving and speeding.
The driver’s licence was suspended for 30 days, and the vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
This marks the fifth stunt driving charge in the city in the past two weeks.
