Peterborough residents have a chance to help shape the future of two local ballparks during a public information session tonight inside the Lions Centre at 347 Burnham Street.
The city is presenting proposed upgrades for Riverside Park and East City Bowl during a one-hour meeting that runs from 6 to 7 pm.
The ball diamonds, which are well-used and much-loved by local leagues, are showing signs of wear. Improvements are being considered for the wood fence, bullpen, batting cage, irrigation, lighting, and the scorekeeper’s tower.
City staff will be on hand to walk residents through the proposed changes and answer questions. The city is also looking for input on what additional amenities the community would like to see included in the revitalization.
For those unable to attend in person, feedback can be submitted online at connectptbo.ca/riverside or through a paper survey available at City Hall. The survey will remain open until 11:59 pm on Friday, April 18.
Residents with questions or comments can also call 705-742-7777, extension 1829.
