Curbside brush and debris removal is now underway in Peterborough, starting in the city’s north end. The cleanup effort is expected to take four to six weeks to reach all neighbourhoods.
Residents are asked to place debris at the edge of their property for pickup, but to keep sightlines clear for pedestrians and drivers. Debris should not be left close enough to the curb that it could wash into the street during heavy rain.
To help with storm cleanup, the City Landfill is accepting residential brush, wood chips and damaged tree waste at no charge until Monday. Extended landfill hours are in effect from 7 am to 7 pm through tomorrow.
