A 15 year old and 19 year old are in facing charges after an investigation in the east end of the city on Friday afternoon.
Police say they were called about three males in a parking lot with reports that one may have had a firearm.
Officers used a drone and K9 and found the three males in the area of Terrace Road and Syndenham Road.
Officials say that a gunpoint arrest was conducted with the possibility of a weapon involved, and after conducting a search officers seized knives from two of the suspects.
As a result of the investigation:
A 15-year-old Peterborough male was charged with:
- Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Uttering Threats – Cause Death or Bodily Harm
- Carrying a concealed weapon
A 19-year-old Peterborough man was charged with:
- Carry a concealed weapon
- Fail to Comply with a Probation Order
The accused is currently bound by a probation order with the following condition: to not possess any weapon as defined by the Criminal Code
