A stretch of Highway 7 east of Lindsay has reopened after a serious three-vehicle collision Monday morning sent one driver to a Toronto trauma centre with life-threatening injuries.
Ontario Provincial Police say officers from the City of Kawartha Lakes detachment, along with local fire and EMS crews, responded to the crash just after 7 a.m. between Slanted Road and River Road.
A 21-year-old man from Peterborough was airlifted from the scene, while a 74-year-old man from Fenelon Falls and a 59-year-old man from Cameron were taken to a nearby hospital.
The OPP’s Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement team closed the highway for several hours to investigate but have since reopened the road.
Police say the investigation is ongoing and are asking witnesses or anyone with dash cam footage to contact the City of Kawartha Lakes OPP detachment.
