Time is running out to nominate your choice for the worst road in Ontario.
The deadline for nominations for CAA’s Worst Road Campaign is this Friday (April 18th). The annual initiative spotlights the most pressing road safety and infrastructure concerns in the province.
To date, 2,300 roads, located in more than 200 municipalities, have been nominated, with respondents listing concerns over potholes, rough pavement, traffic congestion and unsafe cycling routes.
CAA has published the online survey results since 2003 and, armed with those results, lobbied different levels of government to expedite their repair.
While no Peterborough roads were listed on the Ontario top 10 list last year, two streets – Lansdowne Street and Water Street – were the among the top five on the Eastern Ontario regional list.
