The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation has delivered a fourth-quarter payment of $587,121 to the City of Peterborough for hosting Shorelines Casino Peterborough.
The payment, covering the period from Jan. 1 to March 31, brings Peterborough’s total share for the 2024-25 fiscal year to $2,717,827. Since the casino opened in October 2018, the city has received $15,095,211 in total revenue through the Municipality Contribution Agreement.
Payments are calculated using a provincially standardized formula based on a graduated scale of gaming revenue at each host site.
“Shorelines Casino Peterborough strengthens our community through sharing gaming revenue that supports local priorities and programs,” said Dave Smith, MPP for Peterborough–Kawartha.
Province-wide, host municipalities have received nearly $2.5 billion in non-tax gaming revenue since 1994. OLG says 100 per cent of its profits are reinvested into Ontario, supporting infrastructure, economic development, and job creation.
