The Peterborough Immigration Partnership is hosting its second annual Health Fair for Newcomers tomorrow. The free event, open to all newcomers to Canada, will take place at the New Canadians Centre from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
Over 25 local community organizations will be present, providing valuable information on services ranging from mental health support to family and youth resources. Among the participating groups are the Canadian Mental Health Association, Peterborough Public Health, Five Counties Children’s Centre, and the YMCA of Central East Ontario.
Attendees will have the chance to participate in Chair Yoga with Kristina Domsic at 11:15 am, followed by a meditation session with Alyssa Trick Mifflin at noon. At 1:00 pm, the Canadian Mental Health Association will present on stress management strategies.
Interpretation services will be available in Arabic, Farsi/Dari, Spanish, and Somali to ensure accessibility for all participants.
