Peterborough Transit will implement seasonal service changes and detours beginning Sunday, with several routes affected through the summer.
Route 5 The Parkway and Route 6 Sherbrooke will see late-night weekday and weekend service suspended until early September. Northbound Route 5 will end at 11:35 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and 7:35 p.m. on Sundays and holidays. Eastbound Route 6 will finish at 11:50 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and 7:50 p.m. on Sundays and holidays.
Route 7 Lansdowne will follow its spring/summer 7A routing via Ashburnham Drive, the Lift Lock, and Hunter Street from April 27 through Oct. 25. Service to Rogers Street between Maria and Hunter will continue via Route 4. The 7:50 a.m. 7B rush-hour trip from Willowcreek Boulevard to Fleming College is suspended.
Route 11 and 11A Water service to Trent University will pause from April 28 until September.
Ongoing construction will also prompt detours. Route 9 Parkhill is detouring near Brealey Drive, with temporary bus stops set on Sherbrooke Street east of Brealey. Westbound and eastbound buses will follow alternate paths via Sherbrooke, Denure Drive, Kawartha Heights Boulevard, and Cherryhill Road.
Transit users are advised to check for ongoing updates as detours may change with construction.
