Temporary road closures will be in effect this weekend for the annual Peterborough Butterfly Run.
From 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Engleburn Avenue and Birdsall Street will be closed between Charles Street and Maria Street. These streets will remain open to local traffic only, with runners expected in the area between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
A full closure of Maria Street from Burnham Street to Mark Street is also scheduled from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Detours will be in place at Burnham and James, as well as Mark and James. Peterborough Police will assist residents along Maria Street during the closure, though delays are expected.
