The Conservative Party of Canada is hoping a last second push ahead of the federal election will keep the Peterborough riding blue.
Leader Pierre Poilievre stopped in Keene on Sunday and spoke to a large group of supporters. The Prime Minister-hopeful spent time discussing the party platform while also endorsing local incumbent Michelle Ferreri.
Poilievre was the second leader to stop in the area, after Liberal Leader Mark Carney held a rally at the Peterborough Sport & Wellness Centre over the Easter long-weekend.
Going against Ferreri locally are Liberal Emma Harrison, New Democrat Heather Ray, the Green Party’s Jazmine Raine, the PPC’s Jami-Leigh McMaster, Matthew Grove of the Christian Heritage Party and Chad Jewell who is running as an Independent.
