The incumbent Conservative MP won a sizable victory on Election Night to earn another term on Parliament Hill.
Schmale defeated Liberal Nell Thomas, New Democrat Alyea Teel and Michael Penman of the PPCs in the newly named Haliburton-Kawartha Lakes riding. Following the 2022 Canadian federal electoral redistribution, this riding lost the entirety of Brock to the new York—Durham riding.
