
United Way of Peterborough and District staff, volunteers and partner agencies celebrated Thursday (April 24), and for very good reason.
Gathered at the McDonnel Street Community Centre for the United Way’s Campaign Celebration, it was revealed that the 2024-25 appeal, under the leadership of campaign chair Shirley Turner, surpassed its ambitious $1.5 million goal, with $1,506,198 raised.
United Way CEO Jim Russell was all smiles, noting it’s nice to hit the target and then some in unison with the community at large.
