United Way of Peterborough and District has distributed money to 35 local organizations through the Emergency Community Support Fund.
CEO Jim Russell says the over $360,000 came from the federal government to distribute locally.
Russell says the money will be used to help these businesses recover from the COVID-19 pandemic.
He adds that this money will help with some shortfalls, as many organizations can’t hold fundraisers.
