The Peterborough Petes have loaned forward Mason McTavish to EHC Olten, a professional team playing in the Swiss League.
The loan gives McTavish a chance to stay in condition for the upcoming OHL season, which is also his NHL draft year. As part of the agreement, the Petes will be in close contact with the team and keeping an eye on McTavish’s performance in Switzerland.
McTavish was drafted 5th overall by the Petes in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection, and was given an ‘A’ rating by NHL Central Scouting last week. He finished the year last year with 42 points (29 goals, 13 assists) in 57 games for Peterborough.
